LED/LCD Digital Displays
Remote digital panel meters may be attached to the MoistTech IR sensor for display of the reading using the 4-20 ma output.

Remote digital panel meters may be attached to the MoistTech IR sensor for display of the reading using the 4-20 ma output.

Water Cooling Panel
Each side panel of the sensor can be replaced with a water cooling panel to allow the use of the sensor in high temperature environments. This method is extremely efficient where process conditions are above reasonable environmental temperature levels.

Vortec Air Cooling Panel
The side panel of the sensor is replaced by the vortec panel which uses compressed air to keep temperatures below 50 degrees C within the sensor electronics. This type of installation is preferred to the water cooling in some locations where the temperature around the sensor exceeds 60° C.

Air Purge System for sensor window
Air purge light tubes can be attached to the sensor window to prevent dust and moisture accumulation on the lens.

The sensor can withstand a reasonable amount of contamination but in extreme environments we recommend this option.

Air at very low pressure and volume are required to use this feature.

Sample Hold
Each instrument has this feature built into the software. Where process flow is intermittent the software will eliminate the false data and display only the true reading. Gaps in the product flow or between samples will not be collected thus giving a true reading of the product.

A discrete sampling option is also available within the software.

Non Contact Temperature Sensor
IR temperature sensors can be incorporated into the sensor and provision has been made to display this signal within the current software. The user can gain significant information using this feature when they can relate temperature with moisture during the drying process.

Sampler
Many process applications require special sampling techniques. The standard sample made of stainless steel can be located in the process stream where the flow is consistent.

The sensor is attached to the end of the flange at the top of the sampler and the IR beam is then able to look down the sample tube and through the glass, Pyrex, quartz or sapphire window.

A continuous display of the sample can then be provided. This item is commonly used in closed drying systems.

The choice of material for the optical window is dependent upon the abrasiveness of the product.

Snorkel Sampler
Some process applications are more demanding and require special sampling techniques.

The snorkel sampler is made of stainless steel and can be located in the process stream where the flow is not consistent .

The sensor is attached to the end of the flange at the top of the sampler and the IR beam is then able to look down the sample tube and through the glass, Pyrex, quartz or sapphire window.

The sampler collects the product over a preset time interval and then ejects the sample after the sensor has collected the data. The software allows the user to set any sampling intervals suitable for their process.

Air supply is required to this item . This item is commonly used in closed drying systems. The choice of material for the optical window is dependent upon the abrasiveness of the product.

Optical Window
Some process applications are more demanding and require special sampling techniques.

During many drying processes a simple method of monitoring the process is through a viewing window . MoistTech has developed the flange style viewing assembly for such applications. The standard flange design is made of stainless steel and can be located in the process stream where the flow is constant.

The sensor is located at a position close to the window of the the flange and the IR beam is then able to look through the glass, Pyrex, quartz or sapphire window. A continuous display of the sample can then be provided.

This item is commonly used in closed drying systems and is very popular in spray dryers, above rotary valves or similar locations within the pharmaceutical, forest product and any industry processing powder or granular products

Stainless Steel / Electro Nickel Enclosures
Some process applications are more demanding and require special sampling techniques.

These items are available to the food/ pharmaceutical or any industry that requires sanitary or corrosive designed enclosures. They are also supplied with special food grade optical Kel F window to meet certain food industry installation requirements.
