Delayed Lab Results: The only method of moisture measurement was to grab samples and have it processed by the in-house lab. Results could take hours to receive.
Slow Process Adjustments: By the time the samples are taken and data received, adjustments to the process were delayed – making it difficult to control product specification.
Loss of Energy & Reclaim: Lab testing result wait times lead to large amounts of energy loss and product that needed to be reclaimed.
More Than Moisture: In addition to moisture data, some products run have a water-based coating applied. This constituent needs to be controlled as well
The Solution
IR3000 Sensor
MoistTech’s IR-3000 sensor installed over the process line allows for continuous accuracy measurement, dryer efficiency which reduces energy costs and product waste. Easily integrated with their PLC, a closed-loop process was created with MoistTech’s equipment.

Allowed for Immediate Adjustments: moisture measurement data provides the user with key information about the process and where adjustments are needed before waste occurs.
