Animal Food Applications
Rely on Consistent Moisture Control with MoistTech
Maintaining proper and consistent moisture levels in animal feed is essential to a high quality final product. When moisture levels aren’t regulated, products are at risk of mold and other threats that may negatively affect the overall quality.
Stable, fixed moisture levels, however, ensure that animal food products maintain consistency, and that product waste is minimized. Animal food that is too wet or too dry can result in the loss of a manufacturer’s time and money, as well as impact the quality of the end product.
With MoistTech, manufacturers can decrease animal food production costs without cutting quality. We’ve used our 40+ years of knowledge and experience in the moisture management industry to develop the MoistTech IR-3000, a non-contact instrument that accurately measures and regulates moisture in various applications, including animal food products.
Eliminate product waste and greatly reduce start-up and downtimes with MoistTech, the moisture management leaders.
Monitoring the moisture in the raw materials, controlling the mixing/blending process and moisture of the feed in pellet form, not only ensures an end product with consistent quality, but will enable substantial savings to be achieved in the production process. The user will know the levels of moisture in the raw material and will be able to accurately calculate the amount of moisture that needs to be added to the mix to achieve the correct consistency of the end product.
The installation of our On-line Sensors prevent bad product due to undesirable moisture levels. Now you can fine tune your setup to make sure you are putting out a higher quality and more consistent product and ultimately improve your bottom line. Save money, time and prevent negative results due to inconsistencies and human error.

Animal kibble relies on consistent moisture control to maintain quality and consistency. Moisture content plays a large role in the percentages of other needed ingredients in the feed including protein, carbohydrates and fats to maintain a balanced blend.
The IR3000 series sensor has the ability to measure each kind of kibble and can store up to 50 product calibrations in one sensor.
Accurately calculating the amount of moisture present or that needs to be added to the mix for proper consistency allows the use to have full control over the production line and adjustments.
