Our sensor does well in dusty environments, but if your environment produces an extreme amount of dust, we recommend also installing an Air Purge System to keep your sensor working at optimal levels. If the sensor is installed near the dryer outlet, you may also need to involve a cooling element like air or water to avoid overheating.

The MoistTech staff is experienced with wood fiber moisture sensing requirements in the manufacturing process. We pre-set sensor calibrations, measurement wavelengths, algorithms and sensor optical requirements at our factory. Typical accuracy is about ±0.1% moisture. Typical analog range is 0-20% moisture. The outputs can be adjusted to optimize PLC or recording requirements.
