Hardboard Moisture

Your Solution for Moisture Control

Manufacturing hardboard involves monitoring and maintaining moisture levels as the material can easily become wasted with excessive moisture. Prone to moisture, hardboard is not as durable as MDF, plywood, and other forms of wood and needs to be carefully monitored during the manufacturing process.

Also known as high-density fiberboard, it is made from compressed wood fibers by utilizing them with a bonding agent and applying high pressure to form a durable board. Hardboard provides numerous benefits, such as its impressive strength-to-weight ratio, dimensional stability, and ability to resist warping or splitting. It is frequently utilized in construction, interior finishes, furniture production, and as a base for laminated surfaces.

Although hardboard is known for its versatility, it is not recommended for use in wet or high-moisture settings because it is prone to swelling and damage. Furthermore, it may not offer the same level of surface smoothness as alternative materials such as MDF.
