Bagasse is the fibrous leftovers of sugarcane or sorghum stalks after they are crushed to get the juice. These leftovers are used for biofuel or in the manufacture of pulp and building materials. For every 10 tons of sugarcane crushed, nearly 3 tons of wet bagasse is produced. Creating a biofuel out of bagasse is a great use of recycling our waste products into bioenergy.
