Glass Moisture

Having the correct moisture levels in silica (silicon dioxide) mixtures has often dictates the product quality outcome of glass production.

The silica mixtures are very susceptible to being too wet or dry, wasting manufacturer’s time and money as well as impacting the quality of the end product.

Installation

The IR-3000 glass moisture sensor should be mounted several inches above the conveyor, before and after the dryer will allow the user to continuously monitor the process and can control the glass moisture content either manually or automatically in the glass making process.

Environment

If the IR-3000 has to be installed close to the dryer outlet where it will be susceptible to extreme heat conditions, it is necessary to cool the sensor with either air or water.
