Overview
MoistTech is very experienced in measuring both moisture and oil in palm pulp. The advanced sensor calibrations, measurement wavelengths, algorithms, and sensor optical requirements are preset at the factory.
Typical accuracy is about ±0.2% moisture. Measuring the moisture and oil levels in palm pulp is a critical criterion for growers, as both determine how much growers are paid for their crops. MoistTech’s IR-3000 sensor is ideal for measuring moisture and oil online after the decanter/centrifuge. With the addition of MoistTech’s sampler system, a palm pulp sample can be measured and returned to the product stream.
Why Measure Moisture
Accurate, real-time moisture monitoring delivers multiple process and product benefits.
Quality Assurance
Energy Efficiency
Reduce Waste
Process Stability
RECOMMENDED MEASUREMENT LOCATIONS
Decanter / Centrifuge Discharge
Measures moisture and oil online after the decanter/centrifuge for real-time process control.
Sampling System
Allows a palm pulp sample to be measured and returned to the product stream.
Conveyor Monitoring Point
Measures palm pulp on the conveyor for continuous inline moisture and oil verification.
Typical accuracy is ±0.1–0.2% moisture, with a measurement range of 0–75%. Results are displayed on MoistTech’s external interface or integrated directly into your PLC or plant control system for automated feedback and control.
Understand the Process
MoistTech’s sensors allow you to get an in depth look at your product quality and allows you to cut down on costs, human error, down time and more. Measuring the moisture content within your product can create instant benefits and add quality to your product line!
